Challenging Times In Downtown Cobourg

In Local

A stroll in downtown Cobourg a day after a major snowfall captured the good and the bad of the clean-up of the downtown on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Some areas were shoveled wide enough for wheel chairs, but other areas of the downtown were barely enough for a person to walk through, let alone a wheel chair.

Fire hydrants were nearly buried in the snow and there was no way a person could pay for parking no matter how hard they tried.

Even at Victoria Hall, it would have been impossible to manoeuvre around the building along Third Street.
