City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Fatal Collision on Pigeon Lake Road

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal collision on Pigeon Lake Road this morning.

At approximately 8:30 am emergency services were dispatched to the single vehicle rollover from which the lone occupant was transported to hospital. The 51-year-old female driver from Peterborough was later pronounced deceased.

Pigeon Lake Road was closed for several hours from Heights Road to Sturgeon Road, while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionists were brought in to investigate.
