City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Serious Collision on County Road 36

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on scene at a serious two vehicle collision at the intersection of Sturgeon Road and County Road 36 in Dunsford.

At approximately 3:30 pm officers alongside with emergency services were dispatched to a collision, where two people were transported to hospital. One of the injured persons has been transported to a Toronto area Trauma Center with possible life altering inju ries.

The intersection of County Road 36 and Sturgeon Road will remain closed for several hours, while members of the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist conduct their investigation. Detours are set up at Dunsford Road and County Road 24/Community Centre Road.
