A Message of Thanks to Our Readers, Supporters and Advertisers

In Editor Choice, Local

Since launching Today’s Northumberland in 2018, we’ve done our best to bring you the news that matters — not only in Northumberland County, but beyond.

This past week has been a stressful one as we worked through a transition to a new server. The move became necessary because of the high volume of traffic on our previous server.

In retrospect, that’s a “nice” problem to have. It means people are coming to Today’s Northumberland to get their news, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.

But there’s another side to the coin. The transition has taken considerably longer than expected, and we’re still working through a few technical “tweaks” to get everything running the way it should.

To everyone who has been frustrated by the lack of news and updates this week, believe me, I feel your pain. I know how important it is for our readers to stay informed, and I understand the disappointment when the news isn’t there when you expect it.

Technology certainly has a way of keeping us humble.

In my younger days, installing a stereo system in a vehicle was no problem. These days, I sometimes find myself struggling just to figure out the stereo in new vehicles!

Hopefully, the worst is behind us, and it’s full steam ahead from here.

Over the coming days, we’ll likely be posting news stories and videos from earlier in the week as we work to catch up. Some of that coverage may be a little behind the times, but we believe those stories are still important and deserve to be shared.

We simply ask for your patience as we get everything back on track.

Most importantly, I want to say thank you.

To our readers and supporters, thank you for continuing to visit Today’s Northumberland and for sticking with us through this difficult transition.

To our advertisers, we are extremely grateful for your continued support. Local journalism takes commitment, time and resources, and your support helps make what we do possible.

Today’s Northumberland has been here since 2018 because of the people who believe in what we do. We don’t take that support for granted.

Without our readers, supporters and advertisers, simply put, we wouldn’t be here.

Our commitment remains the same: to bring you the news, the people, the events and the stories that matter to our communities.

Thank you once again for your patience, your understanding and your continued support.

We look forward to moving past these technical headaches and getting back to what we do best — bringing you the news you deserve.

Thank you for being part of Today’s Northumberland.
