Oldest Farmers Market in Province Opens for Another Season in Cobourg

The Cobourg Farmers Market opened for the season on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

From fresh local produce to crafts the Farmers Market located at Rotary Harbourfront Park has something for everyone to enjoy.

The Cobourg Farmers Market was established in 1839 making it the oldest farmers market in Ontario.

“Today symbolizes the beginning of Spring, the beginning of summer,” said Cobourg Mayor John Henderson.

Henderson said after a long two years of COVID, it’s great to see people out and about supporting local farmers and Northumberland County.

Musical guest for the Farmers Market was Cheryl Casselman.

The Cobourg Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday.
