Kawartha Lakes OPP – Highway 7 Closed Due to Serious Collision West of Omemee

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews are currently on scene at a motor vehicle collision which occurred at approximately 9:00am on Highway 7 west of the Village of Omemee.

Three passenger vehicles and a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) were involved in the collision. Three victims have been transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and one victim has been transported to a Toronto area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Highway 7 is closed while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene. Detours will be in place on Highway 7 at Mount Horeb Road and Heights Road. The closure will remain in place for several hours while police investigate.
