Luxury Vehicles Stop In At Olympus Burger in Port Hope

In Editor Choice, Local

It’s become an annual event as luxury cars pulled into Olympus Burger in Port Hope on Sunday, October 24, 2021.

The parking lot of the popular eatery was overflowing with Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, Porsche, Jaguars as the drivers stopped for lunch.

The event was called, Saturn’s Drives named after the organizer who has been bringing members of his club of Olympus Burger for the past five years.

The owner’s of the vehicles love it and so do the people who stop by and dream about owning anyone of the fine automobiles.

It’s estimated that over 50 vehicles filled Olympus Burger parking lot and another across the road.

Gary Dhillon from Mississauga is the proud owner of a 2021 McLaren LT which there were only 765 in production.

The cost – $750,000 (without tax) which includes $220,000 worth of McLaren Special Operations options.

Options include a $40,000 hood scoop, $25,000 for custom seats, and if you can believe it – $11,000 for a drink dispenser.

“It’s a great car. It’s a great car to beat on and have fun.”

Dhillon says he doesn’t baby his cars.

“I drive them like I stole them – it’s great.”

Dhillon says he’s not sure how fast the car can go, but he’s had it at 346 kph, “then it gets a little bit sketchy.”

“I’m sure it could go a little bit faster, but I think that’s reaching its capabilities around 350 kph.”

Dhillon said he gets a lot of stares when driving it and doesn’t mind, but said to anyone who thinks they’ll never own one they have the wrong attitude.

“You can’t think you’ll never own it. Because if you think that way you’ll never own this. Put it out there that you will own it – put it out there in the universe and I’m sure it will materialize.”

For those wondering, by trade Dhillon is a lawyer, but also owns a private equity firm.
