Cameco Conducts Emergency Exercise at the Port Hope Conversion Facility

Cameco’s emergency response organization and the Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services conducted a planned full scale exercise at the Port Hope Conversion Facility on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Cameco regularly conducts emergency response drills and exercises with local emergency services to ensure a coordinated response, provide in-depth training, enhance knowledge of plans and identify opportunities to improve.

Along with emergency services from both Cameco and the Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services there were a number of people who were evaluating the exercise.
