Northumberland OPP – Arrest Made in Connection to Firearms Theft

(TRENT HILLS, ON) – On Wednesday September 15, 2021 the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information in regards to a break and enter that occurred at a residence in Campbellford where seven firearms had been stolen. Members of the Northumberland and Peterborough Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) conducted an investigation and recovered 4 of the stolen firearms at a property in Campbellford, as well as 2 additional pellet guns believed to have been stolen in a separate incident.

Further to the investigation, on September 17, 2021, members of the Northumberland and Peterborough CSCU in conjunction with the Central Region Canine unit (K9) executed a warrant at a residence in Campbellford and arrested one individual in relation to this offence.

The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
