Salmon Run Definitely Has Begun In Cobourg

In Editor Choice, Local

The annual salmon run has certainly started as of Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

At the mouth of the Cobourg Creek around the supper hour there was a plethora of salmon making their way through the narrow opening and up the river.

Awaiting for them were a number of anglers along the shoreline.

Salmon stretched for approximately 30-metres west of the mouth of the Creek near the shoreline of Lake Ontario.

At times, the salmon would beach themselves briefly before entering the water again.
