One Person Airlifted Following ATV Rollover In Alnwick/Haldimand Township

One person was airlifted from the scene following a all-terrain-vehicle collision in Alnwick/Haldimand Township on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

At approximately 12:55 p.m. emergency services including Northumberland OPP, Northumberland County Paramedics and Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department were dispatched to a trail just east of trail E-108 east of Centreton, just east of Forget Road.

A father and son were riding their ATV’s when after cresting a hill, the father, believed to be in his early 60’s hit a rock that caused the ATV to roll several times.

An air ambulance (ORNGE) was immediately called and landed in a nearby field close to the scene of the collision.

The driver of the ATV was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The son who was riding the other ATV was not involved in the collision and was not injured.
