Drug Arrest:

A 49-year-old Peterborough woman has been charged with trafficking cocaine and possessing heroin following an investigation.

As a result of an ongoing investigation by the Peterborough Police Service’s Intelligence, Crime Analyst, Asset Forfeiture and Drug (ICAD) Unit on May 31, 2018 the accused was located and arrested in the area of Park and Sherbrooke Streets.

Heather Linda Bell, 49, of Milroy Drive, Peterborough, is charged with the following:

  • Traffick in schedule I substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance (Heroin)
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (June 1).

 

Domestic assault Arrest:
A 40-year-old Lindsay, Ontario man has been charged with domestic assault following an investigation.

On May 31, 2018 officers were dispatched to a Peterborough residence for a domestic incident. It was reported that during an argument between the accused and the female victim, whom were in a previous domestic relationship, the accused assaulted the victim.

As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with assault.The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 21, 2018.

The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim in this domestic incident.
