Anti-Lockdown Protestors Gather in Front of MPP’s Office in Port Hope

In Local

A group of people stood in front of MPP David Piccini’s on Saturday, April 10, 2021 protesting the COVID-19 lockdown.

Ryan Ramjohn and family members were joined by three protestors from Cobourg on Saturday morning outside the office of MPP David Piccini on Peter Street.

Ramjohn spoke to Today’s Northumberland and said he’s had enough.

“I’m fed up with what’s going on with our province, with out leadership.”

Ramjohn said the laws are being forced on the people without even having a debate.

“There is no proof that they work, no care of human cost of the physical or spiritual. People are suffering bad – small children or old people.”

“I’ve had enough – I’m done.”

Ramjohn wouldn’t say whether or not he believes COVID exists, but does state that people are getting sick.

“If this is 100% the truth and I’m not saying it is and I’m not saying it isn’t, but if it is, then let’s talk about it.”

There are scientists and doctors that state that lockdowns don’t work said Ramjohn.

“Instead of us being brothers and sisters, we’re just attacking each other. We’re just screaming our opinions at people instead of being human.”

Under the watchful eye of Port Hope Police the protest concluded shortly before noon before most of the protestors headed to Victoria Hall in Cobourg to join a larger group.

But Ramjohn said he will be back every Saturday.
