Local Initiative to Distribute Oral Hygiene Supplies to Area Residents

In Community, Local

Mary Ito and Sue Hochu of the Northumberland Oral Health Coalition (NOHC) recently donated oral hygiene products – toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss etc to staff of the Community Health Centres of Northumberland – to Pam MacDougall, Health Promoter and Lisa Tamblyn, Dental Program Coordinator, who is also a NOHC member.

Sue Hochu also presented Pam Mac Dougall with a cheque from a Port Hope couple who generously donated to the CHC to allow NOHC to purchase more oral care items to be distributed to those in need in Port Hope.

For 15 years, the NOHC has been advocating for equitable access to affordable oral care for residents both locally and provincially and for the last few years have participated in handing out oral hygiene supplies in Cobourg and Port Hope.
