Update – Cameco – Negative Results Following Onsite COVID-19 Rapid Testing

In Local

In response to the three confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Cameco Fuel Manufacturing in Port Hope which were identified on November 19, 24 and 27, Cameco arranged for a third-party medical provider to provide onsite COVID-19 rapid testing to take place today, Monday, November 30.

All testing has been completed and we are pleased to share that all the results are negative.

CFM Port Hope will resume operations as planned tonight at 11 p.m.

Employees who were tested have been notified of their individual results and we will report the results of the onsite COVID-19 rapid testing to the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit.

A total of 36 employees were given rapid tests. In addition, over the last few days Cameco has received approximately 20 other negative test results from CFM Port Hope employees who were tested through COVID-19 assessment centres.
