Loaded Gun, Drugs and Cash Seized by Port Hope Police

Three men are facing charges after Port Hope Police Criminal Investigations Branch and uniformed officers in Welcome seized a large quantity of drugs, cash and a loaded handgun on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Port Hope Police stopped a BMW in the area of County Road 2 at Welcome.

Three people were taken into custody at the scene. Police seized a large quantity of drugs which was found in a hidden compartment just below the radio system inside the car.

Also seized was a scale, loaded handgun and a large quantity of cash

Port Hope Police Criminal Investigation Branch stated they would be releasing more information on Thursday.
