Cramahe Homicide Victim Identified

The identity of an adult male, who was found with obvious signs of trauma and no vital signs, has now been confirmed. The Ontario Forensic Pathology Services has confirmed the victim’s identity as Boyd WOODS, 72-years-old, of Cramahe Township, Ontario.

The victim was located inside an outbuilding on a residential property on County Road 2, east of the town of Colborne on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

Under the direction of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch, this homicide investigation remains ongoing with members of the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit and Central Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS), in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario.

Members of the public can expect to see an increased volume of OPP personnel and vehicles in the area as the investigation remains ongoing. Members of the public should always be aware of their surroundings and personal safety. Ensure that you lock the doors to your residence and report anything suspicious to the OPP.
