Exclusive – Bear Trap Set in Port Hope

Exclusive – Today’s Northumberland has learned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has deployed a bear trap in Port Hope.

The bear trap will hopefully and safely capture the bear so it can be relocated.

Ministry spokesperson Jolanda Kowalsi said “ The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has been communicating regularly with Port Hope Police and are working with them to relocate the bear.”

Over the last several days the bear has been spotted in numerous locations in the town.
