Two people are facing two charges each of trespassing by Cobourg Police as a result of camping by Cobourg Creek.
Police have received numerous complaints over the past several days about people camping along the east side of Cobourg Creek just north of the CN Rail bridge.
Several times police had given warnings to the two individuals after receiving complaints.
On Thursday March 26, 2020 at approximately 7 p.m. three officers went in to dismantle the structure and remove the individuals from the area.
One person refused to leave the area and he was temporarily taken into custody and later released at the scene.
The two individuals are facing two charges each of trespassing.
Over the course of the last several days, including Thursday, police advised the individuals of CCI being a temporary homeless shelter, but the individuals weren’t interested.
