Healing Begins For Hunter and the Community After Vicious Assault

The healing has begun for a 15-year-old Cobourg youth who was the victim of a vicious assault on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

Hunter was on his lunch when he was attacked viciously. A number of other people stood by and did nothing while the youth was beaten unconscious.

Cobourg Police have charged a 16-year-old youth and the victim is recovering at home.

Video of the assault has garnered attention from around Ontario.

A number of people and groups have now come forward with support.

Tracey McBride and Lorna Dickson with work at CPK Interior Products in Port Hope and started passing around a card and asked if anyone wanted to contribute for Hunter and his family.

When the two women were finished approximately $700 was collected from employees of CPK Interior Products.

Lakeridge Chrysler in Port Hope also helped with a donation and they are helping out with a PO Box for anyone who wishes to send a card to the family.
