Breaking News – Fire Causes Extensive Damage to Colborne Home

Damage could exceed $100,000 following a house fire in Colborne on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

At approximately 12:12 a.m. Cramahe Township Fire Department were dispatched to the home on Percy Street.

Where first crews arrived on scene, smoke was coming from the two-storey home.

Northumberland OPP were called to block the roadway while Northumberland County Paramedics stood by in case they were needed.

Crews knocked down the fire quickly but one room was consumed by fire with smoke damage permeating throughout the residence.

One person was home at the time of the fire but escaped and was unharmed.

No word on the cause of the fire or if smoke detectors alerted the resident.
