Breaking News – Northumberland OPP – Five Drivers Charged With Stunt Driving In One Day

The five people in the vehicle will be looking at an alternative means of transportation back to Quebec.

Northumberland OPP and Highway Safety Division officers issued another five stunt driving charges to motorists travelling on Highway 401 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. mostly in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 east of Wesleyville overpass.

The latest driver was 22-years-old driver from Quebec driving a rental car (Toyota Corolla) which was clocked at 176 kph. with four other occupants in the vehicle shortly before 3 p.m.

Anyone driving above 50 kph above the posted speed limit falls under the legislation of Stunt Driving.

Drivers immediately have the vehicle they are driving impounded for seven days, their licence suspended for seven days and a summons to appear in court.
