Students At St. Joseph’s School Serving Up Hot Chocolate On A Cold Day

Students in St. Joseph’s School served up some warmth to emergency services on Monday, December 16, 2019 in Cobourg.

Classes at the school served up hot chocolate to emergency services including Cobourg Police, Cobourg Fire Department along with other students at the school.

The project started in late November for the grade one and two classes of Mrs. Tatarek and Mrs. MacInnes along with the grade two and three class of Mrs. Stockman for media and advertising.

The goal of the project was to serve people on the move including students coming in from a cold recess.

Initially students worked on the business plan with parts of the projecting taking in various aspects of their ciriculum.

Learning about solids, liquids and gases to make that perfect blend of hot chocolate.

Then surveying the students to see what kind of toppings they liked along with finding out the favorite day of the week to enjoy the hot chocolate.

Money raised from donations is going to Fare Share Food Bank.
