Breaking News – Two Drivers Sent To Hospital Following Head-On Collision In Hamilton Township

Two drivers were sent to hospital following a head-on collision on County Road 2 in Hamilton Township on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

The collision happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. on County Road 2 between Theatre Road and Augustine Road between Cobourg and Port Hope.

County Road 2 in the area was closed for approximately one hour.

Hamilton Township Fire Department, Cobourg Fire Department, Northumberland County Paramedics and Northumberland OPP attended the scene.

Initial reports stated one of the drivers was unconscious.

Both drivers are reported to have suffered non-life threatening injuries, but one driver was reported to have been airlifted to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries.

A dog which was in one of the vehicles is still missing from the scene. He is a part Lab mix and goes by the name of Louie.

The investigation is continuing and there is no word on charges.
