Second Annual “Big Rigs and All Things That Move” Huge Success

In Community, Local

The Big Rigs and All Things That Move was another successful event at Northumberland Mall on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in Cobourg.

Lisa Hayman from Grafton started the event last year with the help of family and friends in honour of her father, Dave Clarke who passed away from cancer in 2015.

Over 40 vehicles and things that move turned out for the special event that was held for three hours.

This year all donations went to Lucy van Laar (age 5) and her family from Port Hope.

Lucy just finished 33 weeks of chemotherapy.

The total amount raised was $10,541.84.

The committee consists of Sarah Brisbin, Carolyn Militello, Steve Clarke, Lisa Hayman, Angie Turpin and Dave Cromlish.

The committee would also like to say, “a big thank you to all of the vehicle participants, sponsors, volunteers and community members for their generosity and participation in the event.
