Breaking News – Cobourg Collegiate Institute Locked Down After Report of Person With a Firearm Outside

Cobourg Collegiate Institute was in lockdown after there was a report of a person outside the school with a firearm on Monday, September 9, 2019.

Cobourg Police Staff Sgt. Brent Allison stated, “we got some vague, unconfirmed information about somebody with a firearm. We advised the school and they initiated a lockdown.”

Police conducted an interior and exterior search and found nothing and the lockdown was lifted at approximately 35-minutes later at 2:40 p.m.
