UPDATE – OPP Search for Missing Boater on Rice Lake

(ALNWICK-HALDIMAND TOWNSHIP, ON) – On September 06, 2019, shortly after 9:30 a.m. members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist in locating an overdue boater on Rice Lake.

-UPDATE-
On September 09, 2019 members of the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) recovered the body of Charles MACKENZIE, a 60-year-old man from Toronto, Ontario. The man was located in the water by a boat launch, in the area of Birdsail Road, off Rice Lake in Peterborough County.
A postmortem examination will be scheduled at the Ontario Forensic Pathology Unit in Toronto Ontario.
