Malfunction With Railway Signals In Brighton Causes Detour

Detours were set-up in Brighton along Prince Edward Street and Ontario Street on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 after a malfunction with CP Rail crossings. CN crossings were also affected.

While most traffic obeyed the crossing, some went around the road closed signs and also around the railway arms that were activated.

For any person caught going around a railway signal the fine is $110 plus three demerit points.

The problem was fix at approximately 8:15 p.m.
