A home in Brighton sustained major damage following a house fire on June 30, 2019.
At approximately 5 p.m. members of the Brighton Fire Department responded to 49 Greenway Circle for a structure fire.
When crews arrived heavy black smoke and flames were coming from the roof area.
Cramahe Fire Department were called for tanker and manpower to the scene.
Northumberland OPP and Northumberland Paramedics were also called for standby.
The two occupants who were home at the time of the fire make it out safely from the residence.
Fire crews worked inside the home tearing parts of the ceiling away to gain access to the fire.
The exact cause isn’t known, but damage is estimated to be at least $150,000.
