Assault Arrests:

Two Peterborough residents have been charged with assault following a dispute at a local drop-in centre.

On March 21, 2018 at approximately 5:45 p.m. the adult male victim attended a local drop-in centre. While at the centre he became involved in a verbal dispute with the female accused. During the dispute it was reported that the female accused assaulted the victim. Another male at the centre became involved in the dispute and it was reported that the male also assaulted the victim.

The incident was reported to police on March 24, 2018. As a result of the investigation on March 24, 2018 officers attended a Brock Street address where the co-accused were arrested and charged.

Charlene Brooks, 28, of Murray Street, is charged with assault.

Brian William LaPorte, 43, of Murray Street, is charged with assault.

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on April 12, 2018.

 

Break and Enter: Westcott Street

The Peterborough Police Service is investigating following a break-in at a multi unit residence on Westcott Street.At approximately 9:35 p.m. on March 26, 2018 an unknown male broke into one of the units stealing a large quantity of change.

The male suspect is described as unknown race, short and slight in stature and wearing a hoodie and baggy jogging pants.
