The relay endurance run is approximately 300 kilometres from Cobourg to Niagara Falls traveling overnight and into Saturday.
The relay has 36 legs to it, with each leg being approximately seven to 10 kilometres long before the runners change a wrist band.
The runners started off at Legion Fields before the first leg was complete at Port Hope Agricultural Park on Elgin Street South.
