Cobourg Police – Youth Charged with Assault

As first reported by Today’s Northumberland the Cobourg Police Service was dispatched to Brookside Youth Centre on May 24, 2019 at approximately 1:00 am for an assault reported after the fact.

The victim was seriously injured and transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital where he was treated by staff.

After the investigation was complete, under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the accused has been charged with Assault Casing Bodily Harm, section 267 of the Criminal Code.

A future court date is pending.
