Organizers say they are very pleased with the Northumberland Military Tattoo 2019 that was held at the Baltimore Recreation Centre on Saturday, May 4, 2019 running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event was a fundraiser for the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps 116 trip to Iceland in the Fall of 2019 with the entire unit, so a full guard of honour can be assembled for the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Second World War HMCS Skeena shipwreck in Iceland on October 24, 1944 when 15 crew members were killed.
Participating in the tattoo on Saturday were members of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corpos 116 Skeena, Port Hope Legion Pipes and Drums, Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums, Northumberland Navy League Cadets, Royal Canadian Air Cadet Yukon Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadet Sabre Squadron, Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps 2777 Campbellford and members of the Hasting and Prince Edward Regiment.
Northumberland County Warden John Logel was the Reviewing Officer.
