Breaking News – Suspicious Fire Destroys Church In Roseneath

A historic church was destroyed by fire north of Roseneath on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.
Alnwick/Haldimand Fire Department were dispatched at 10:35 p.m. after a neighbour reported the fire on Church Road north of Roseneath just off County Road 45.
When fire crews arrived there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the church which was built in 1860.
It’s the third suspicious fire in a past month in the area.
Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate the fire.
