Students In Cobourg Protest the Ontario Government’s Education Changes

Students across Ontario, including in Cobourg took to the streets to protest education changes including increasing the number of students in the classrooms.
At 1:15 p.m. students at Cobourg Collegiate Institute walked out of classes and marched down to Victoria Hall in Cobourg holding signs and shouting in protest.
At Victoria Hall the sounds of the students could be heard echoing throughout the downtown area.
Cobourg Mayor John Henderson came out of his office to speak with the students and applaud their right to demonstrate, but also gave them advice on how to truly making a difference by putting pen to paper and sending it to MPP David Piccini’s local office.
