Cobourg Police Not Releasing If Suspect Was At Warming Room Prior To Robbery

In Local, Police Blotter

A suspect arrested for robbing Mr. Sub on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 may have been at the warming room of the Cobourg Police Station prior to the robbery.
At approximately 8:26 p.m. Cobourg Police responded to Mr. Sub directly across from the Cobourg Police station after a report of a male robbing the business wearing a face mask and leaving with a small amount of cash stolen from the register.
A short distance away the 23-year-old was arrested and is facing charges of robbery and disguise with intent.
Today’s Northumberland asked Cobourg Police if the suspect was at the warming room of the Cobourg Police Station prior to the robbery.
Staff Sgt. Brent Allison responded, “for privacy reasons we are not allowed to release personal information.”
The suspect was held in Cobourg Police custody for a Show Cause Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
