March Break Madness with GRCA

In Community

PORT HOPE – The GRCA is proud to announce that the Conservation Authority will be running a March Break camp – Nature Nuts March Break Madness Camp!

The camp is designed, planned and delivered by OCT-qualified teachers. Each day has a dedicated theme where campers will be immersed in a variety of hands-on activities, active outdoor games, group challenges, crazy crafts and good natured fun.

The week begins with a day focused on wilderness survival; then it switches gears and heads right into a day of reality TV-based challenges and games. Next, there will be a day focused on DAB – designing and building; campers get to design, construct, and test their various structures. The fourth day of camp will be spent getting messy with an ‘ooey gooey’ science experiment-filled day. On the Friday, campers will load a bus and spend the day at the Ganaraska Forest Centre where they will explore, strategize, and laugh their way through outdoor games and activities.

The GRCA’s Nature Nuts March Break Madness Camp is geared toward 6-12 year olds who enjoy action packed, adventurous fun. The camp, operating from the GRCA office in Port Hope, runs from 8:45 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day, with extended care available. The cost is $165.00 for this fun-filled, daily-themed week. Availability is limited to 35 children; make sure to register soon to avoid disappointment!
