Today’s Northumberland visited the area where drug paraphernalia was discovered on Friday by Jakob Defosse walking through the area on Buchanan Street in Cobourg.

Defosse was shocked to discover the amount of syringes and other paraphernalia at the site which is a popular shortcut in the area.  After notifying his father, Cobourg Police were called to the scene to investigate.

On Saturday, though all of the needles were removed, a number of other items still remained at the scene including a vial in injectable, at least one small glass pipe, numerous alcohol swabs, numerous needle caps and several small Stericup containers.

No word yet on why the items were left at the scene and if they posed a health risk.
