One person was taken into custody following a police response in downtown Cobourg on Monday evening.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on August 4, 2026, officers with Cobourg Police Service responded to the Circle K convenience store on King Street West.
Additional police officers soon arrived at the scene, along with Northumberland County Paramedics and members of the Cobourg Fire Department.
A short time later, one person was taken into custody by police.
Police have not released any information regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident, and there is currently no word on whether any charges have been laid.
