Durham Region Police – Male Arrested After Multi-Theft Investigation in Bowmanville and Oshawa (Name Released)

A male is facing charges following an investigation into multiple Home Depot thefts in Bowmanville and Oshawa.

In May 2026, investigators with the East Division Criminal Investigations Branch began an investigation into multiple thefts at Home Depot stores located in Bowmanville and Oshawa. Investigators determined that between October 2025 and April 2026, the same male suspect committed 16 separate thefts resulting in the loss of over $5800 in merchandise.

As a result of this investigation, police identified and located the suspect who was taken into custody without incident.

Julian Nicholas PHILLIPS, age 31 from Clarington is charged with: Theft Under $5000 x16.

He was released on an Undertaking.
