Parks Canada Advises Higher Than Normal Water Levels Along Trent-Severn Waterway

In Local

Parks Canada advises the public to expect higher-than-normal water levels and flows throughout the Trent–Severn Waterway until further notice as a result of recent precipitation.

To support water management operations, Parks Canada will be increasing flows on the Otonabee River outside of navigation hours.

Elevated water levels and flows will continue throughout the Trent–Severn Waterway as water management staff respond to current watershed conditions.

Boaters, residents, and visitors are urged to exercise caution around and on the water, particularly near dams, locks, water control structures, and shorelines where conditions may change rapidly.

Parks Canada continues to actively monitor watershed conditions and adjust water management operations as required.
