Cobourg Police – Event Photographer Charged at Cobourg Community Centre with Sexual Assault (Name Released)

A 65-year-old Ajax man has been arrested in a sexual assault investigation.

On May 3, 2026, the Cobourg Police Service opened an investigation after receiving a report of an alleged sexual assault.

Police learned that on April 25, 2026, the victim attended an event at the Cobourg Community Centre in the Town of Cobourg, where they were sexually assaulted by an event photographer.

As a result of the investigation, Ignacio Martin Del Campo, 65, of Ajax, was arrested on May 20, 2026, and charged with sexual assault.

The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions.

Cobourg Police Service reminds everyone that there is no statute of limitations for sexual offences, and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence. A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. Police encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police.
