The Cobourg Collegiate Institute Wolves rebounded from a morning loss to pull out a win in the afternoon Tuesday at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) boys ‘AAA’ hockey championship in Lasalle-Windsor.

CCI, ranked 14th out of 16, was blanked 5-0 in their opening game by the No. 1 seed Brooklin Bears from Whitby.

In the afternoon matchup, three goals in the second period paced the Wolves to a 3-2 win over the No. 7 Neil McNeil Maroons from Toronto.

Ewan Dahle and Trent Clow each had a goal and an assist for CCI while Lawson Minifie also scored. Other assists were earned by Henry Fisher, Oliver Coyle and Sam Clarke. Goaltender Ethan Fuller earned the win in net.

The Wolves will conclude round-robin pool play Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. against the No.12 Lo-Ellen Park Knights from Sudbury, which lost both of their games Tuesday. CCI will need a win to have a shot at advancing to the quarterfinals in the afternoon.
