Peterborough Police – Peterborough Man Charged with Assault

A 56- year-old Peterborough man is facing a charge in connection with an incident last Wednesday.

At approximately 11:00am on February 11, 2026, officers were called after an incident in the area of Marsh Avenue and Broadway Boulevard in Peterborough. Officers learned that a City of Peterborough public works employee had been plowing snow on the sidewalk when a resident opened the door of the plow and twice tried to take the earplugs and earbuds out the ear of the employee.

On Friday, February 20, 2026, officers received video of the incident and reviewed it.

As a result of the investigation, a 56-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

Assault

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court May 12, 2026.
