Video – Spreading the Word of God on a Port Hope Overpass

In Local

A couple drove for nearly an hour to thank God on a Port Hope overpass on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

The married couple stood on the Ontario Street bridge over Highway 401 with a wooden cross and a Canadian flag.

Though many people may have wondered if there was something taking place along the highway, the couple drove from north of Peterborough to spread the word of God for several hours.

“We were recently saved,” said Heidi.

She stated that she learned recently that God’s word is written on the Parliament buildings in Ottawa.

“It makes so much sense why are Country is in so much disarray and why there’s tyranny and so much evil is because He’s been removed out of system.”

At one point three OPP cruisers stopped by after getting a report the couple were hanging the cross over the bridge.

The couple assured police they didn’t and wouldn’t do such a thing.

It wasn’t their first time on the bridge and in Port Hope.

“Today’s the anniversary of the tyrannical police and government beating up our people in the Nations capital,” otherwise known as the Freedom Convoy.

“That’s where the Lord really started pursuing us was for that.”

During their time on the bridge Saturday, they said they were “only” splashed twice by passing motorists.
