The driver of a vehicle in Cobourg seemed to have a bit of directional issues on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
A vehicle was parked on Second Street at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday waiting for a security guard to end his shift for the day at Victoria Hall.
When the security guard got into the passenger seat, for unknown reasons the driver made a three-point turn and attempted to head north, up the one way street in the wrong direction.
The vehicle didn’t get very far as there were a number of vehicles that were heading south.
Moments later, the driver seemed to understand his error.
A pick-up driver rolled down his window asking, “how do you not see that?”
The driver of the wrong way vehicle explained that he lived in Peterborough.
“They have a lot of one way streets in Peterborough. The main street is a one way.”
The pickup driver advised the wrong way driver that it would be best if he backed up and went the right way – which he did.
