Visitor Restrictions Implemented Due to Increased Respiratory Illness Activity at CMH

In Local

Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) has implemented temporary visitor restrictions on its Inpatient Unit (IPU) in response to increased respiratory illness activity within the hospital and throughout the community.

Until further notice, visiting on the Inpatient Unit will be limited to one visitor at a time per patient.

This precaution is intended to help protect patients, visitors, and staff.

Visitors are reminded that masking is required while on the Inpatient Unit. Masks are available upon entry to the hospital and must be worn throughout the visit. Individuals who are experiencing respiratory symptoms or who are feeling unwell are asked to postpone visiting until their symptoms have fully resolved.

CMH continues to offer virtual visiting options for patients and families who are unable to visit in person.

Hospital staff are available to assist with setting up virtual visits as needed.

“These temporary precautions are intended to reduce the risk of transmission and protect the health and
safety of our patients,” said Heather Campbell, VP Patient Care & Chief Nursing Executive.

“We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our patients, their families, and the community during this time.”

Campbellford Memorial Hospital will continue to monitor respiratory illness trends in collaboration with public health and will adjust precautions as appropriate.
