UPDATE – Breaking News – OPP Searching for Person Involved in Collision in Hamilton Township

(Suspect in custody as of 12:15 p.m.)

Emergency services are on scene of a single vehicle collision at Oak Ridges Drive and Harwood Road in Hamilton Township on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

At approximately 10:50 a.m. emergency services were dispatched to the collision that involved a vehicle striking a tree.

The caller advised police they spotted a handgun in the door of the vehicle.

Two people were in the vehicle.

One stayed on scene, but a male has fled on foot.

There area is closed off at this time and OPP are advising to avoid the area.

Will provide updates when they become available.
