Peterborough County OPP – Bowmanville Woman Killed in Motorcycle Collision

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a single motorcycle collision that has resulted in a fatality.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, at approximately 3:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of an ejected motorcyclist in the southbound lanes of Highway 115 near Porter Road, east of the community of Pontypool in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

As a result of the incident, a 39-year-old fema le from Bowmanville was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation by Peterborough County OPP is continuing, with assistance from members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, including a Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator.

A section of Highway 115 southbound was closed for several hours while emergency crews and were on scene. The roadway has since re-opened.
