Cobourg Police – Investigating Theft of Trailer

The Cobourg Police Service is currently investigating a theft from a business on Buchanan Street in Cobourg.

On October 9, 2025, police responded to a report of the theft of a trailer from a business on Buchanan Street in Cobourg. Surveillance footage showed that at approximately 6:35 a.m., a dark-coloured SUV with three occupants entered the property, hooked up the trailer, and drove away northbound on Division Street. The trailer is described as a 2006, 6-foot by 12-foot UHAUL Cargo Trailer, white with numerous UHAUL decals in orange and a Kansas, USA licence plate number US2461.

The investigation remains ongoing as police work to identify the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
